Many of the greatest ancient civilizations settled by a river or a body of water. For example, there was Egypt on the Nile, India on the Indus, and China on the Huang He
River. When a group of people are deciding where to settle, they must take into account how the geography will affect how they will obtain their food, water, and resources to build shelter. Geography in Ancient Greece impacted the Greek’s culture and lifestyle in several ways. Although, the terrain in Greece was not so favorable, this brilliant civilization learned to thrive by creating new ways to live everyday life in Greece.
