Demographic Transition Review

We took a pop-quiz today on the past few classes, i missed the last 2 classes. However, i think i did pretty well on the quiz. After, the quiz, we took some more notes on Mr. Schick's blog:
  • Demographic Transition refers to the transition from high birth and death rates to low birth and death rates.
  • developed countries have gone through demographic transitions and has low birth rates
  • some countries are kind of stuck in the past because the country's government doesn't want to change
  • some countries even discourage women to read/ become literate
  • core countries are the industrialized capitalist countries on which developing depend on
  • core countries are usually wealthy and in a favorable location and they have a wide variety of resources, and a powerful military
