Cake Catastrophe

Looks like we won’t be having cake in human geo anytime soon after today… lol because we brought in cake without bringing in a knife to cut the cake, a fork to eat the cake, or even a napkin or plate to eat the cake on! Haha it was pretty funny, I don’t think Mr. Schick was expecting our food schedule for Human Geo class, let alone a whole cake. Also, my shadow, Olivia, was well prepared for Mr. Schick’s infamous question, “What is something really amazing that you have done in your life?”  To those who may have doubted her answer, YES of course Olivia swam across the entire Atlantic Ocean! Anyways, the academic part of class today included us reviewing the important information from our notes last week. Some important topics/ideas to remember are crude birth and death rate, there are over 7.5 billion people on the planet, most of population growth takes place in developing countries, what life expectancy is, why do women tend to live longer than men, rate of natural increase, total fertility rate, and why and how the TFR number to have population stay the same is 2.1. Also, Mr. Schick introduced us to what a Population Pyramid is which I’m sure you will read about in my next blog.
And that’s a wrap! Peace out
